VOLUNTEER ORIENTATIONS:

We encourage anyone interested in helping with events or in our office to attend an orientation. Please note it is mandatory to attend one of our orientations to be a Peer Facilitator. An orientation typically lasts for one hour and you must bring a completed volunteer application with you.  Click here to download.

Events/Office Opportunities

Office Support

General support is always needed, from helping with mailings, reproduction of material, data entry, and filing to organizing group rooms or closets and working on special projects.  We have a use for any time or skill you would like to contribute. If you have a special gift, such as grant writing, art, marketing, graphic design or fundraising, please let us know! Some volunteers will even organize small fundraising events (click here for ideas). Fun ideas are always welcome!

Special Events and Fundraising

There are numerous projects related to special events, such as follow-up with attendees and sponsors, coordinating and recruiting of volunteers, distributing materials, committee opportunities, etc. The list is endless! Some of our major events include the Auction Gala in February, TD Beach to Beacon in August, our Golf Tournament in September and running events throughout the year.

Board of Directors

We are always looking for new board members with various areas of expertise (i.e., marketing, fundraising, governance, accounting, and program development). The Center has a "working" Board with members participating on Committees and special projects.
