Join the Center's team of 25 FundRacers banding together to run in this historic Maine race annually to raise money to support the Center's programs! The 6.2-mile run, starting at Crescent Beach and ending at Portland Head Light, the nation's first commissioned lighthouse, attracted over 6,000 runners, along with over 10,000 spectators, to the Maine coast last summer, making it the largest road race ever in the Pine Tree State. This Cape Elizabeth race draws runners from all parts of the U.S. and elite athletes from around the world.
Slugger and his Mom or Dad lead the way on the flat 5K course which begins in front of the Portland Expo building, travels down Congress Street, turning down Stevens Avenue, and making a right onto Brighton Avenue back down Deering Avenue into Fitzpatrick Stadium. The race culminates inside Hadlock Field in front of the third base dugout.
