Susan Giambalvo

Program Director

Susan Giambalvo, LCSW is the Program Director at the Center for Grieving Children in Portland, Maine.  She received her Masters of Social Work from Hunter College in New York.  She is responsible for the development, implementation and delivery of family services and new initiatives. Susan has over 15 years of experience working with children, youth and families in a variety of clinical and community service settings.  She has a special interest in working with groups and children and is trained in Transformative Mediation and Cognitive Behavioral Interventions.  Susan has presented locally and nationally on children’s grief support and the use of activities in the grief journey.
